This shop is on Fulham Road, just a block up from Rococo on the Kings Road (so if you’re doing a tour you might want to visit both). Demarquette’s has a slightly less commercial look than some of the other chocolate shops, with more of an ‘artisan’ feel. There is a counter, some shelves and small seating area. The most notable products are the range of ganache and caramels, displayed behind the glass counter. The ganache are small squares of chocolate with soft centres with flavours like Lavender, Chinese Green Tea and Jasmine, Mint Tea and Passion Fruit. The flavours are exquisite and very fresh. The caramels are very soft centred with flavours such as Sea Salt, Violet and Elderflower.

Demarquette was founded in 2005 by master chocolatier Marc Demarquette. Born in London in 1972, Marc worked first as a management consultant, before a serious accident caused him to re-evaluate his priorities. He underwent training as a chocolatier at the world-famous Maison LenĂ´tre in Paris, as well as studying with other master chocolatiers in France, before opening his own chocolate shop in London. As Marc says, “My chocolates are derived from pure passion. Passion for the traditional artisan craft and passion for the perfection of my finished product.” As well as the shop in Chelsea, Demarquette supply a range of bespoke chocolates to Fortnum and Mason in Piccadilly.
