Cocomaya is elegant, slightly quirky and surprisingly relaxed among the capital’s chocolate boutiques. Situated next door to a fantastic cafe run by the same people, you can buy your chocolates and then sit down for tea to rest your legs.

Cocomaya’s truffles and ganache are fantastic. Light and well-balanced, with clear flavours. After all the chocolate I’ve eaten recently I wasn’t expecting to like them so much.
The other nice surprise about this place is the cafe next door, which is part of the same business. The people are really relaxed and friendly, and I swear I had one of the best cups of tea I can remember: Earl Grey fresh leaf tea. The bergamot was not overpowering, but the tea had a really fine, delicate flavour. The cakes there are great too. Put Cocomaya on your list.

Really fab – the dark chocolate truffle tastes like a spoonful of rich, decadent chocolate dessert, not too sweet nor dark, just right! You can really taste the quality in these chocolates, their texture and flavour taste really fresh. Looking forward to trying more of their chocolates.
