Artisan du Chocolat’s shop in Chelsea is located a couple of minutes walk from Sloan Square. It is a smallish shop, with a clean, modern interior and sells their range of Liquid Caramels, thin Os and Pearls, as well as various types of bars. For a wider range of products, including chocolate cocktails and a seating area, you can also visit their shop in Westbourne Grove.
Artisan was founded in 2000 by Irish-born chef and restaurant pastry chef Gerard Coleman. It started as a Saturday stall at Borough Market, as Coleman created chocolates that were served by top chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal in their restaurants. The first Artisan shop was opened in 2002 on Lower Sloan Street. Then in 2003, Artisan’s well-known Liquid Sea Salted Caramels were first served by Gordon Ramsay at Claridges. The range of other products also began to grow. In 2006 they moved chocolate production to a large site in Ashford, Kent and soon began investing in new technology that would let them produce their own chocolate directly from ground cacao beans.

I like these chocolates very much, they have a clever box with revolving trays with lots of varieties including some delicious thin discs with interesting liquid fillings. They are rich so that you only want to eat one or two or maybe three at one time.

chocs are nice but staff a bit rude! a smile would be so much nicer than a grin!
